#SexySnippets - Yoseph

Hello again and welcome back to Sexy Snippets. this is where we chose seven sentences from either published work, or something we are working on.

This week I have chosen something from Yoseph, the sequal to Alana. It is still a work in progress and nothing has been edited. So here are my chosen seven for you this week:

“I know what the risks are grandma. But if you ask me, he needs to know who, and what he is. What if it is Alana trying to communicate with him? What if he manages to somehow communicate back with her?”

“Oh don’t be so fanciful Ayasha.”
“Fanciful? Wasn’t it you who told me when I began to shift, that I couldn’t run away from who I was?

Hello again. So nice of you to pop back and read this weeks Flash Fiction Friday.

This is were we are given a picture and we have to write 100 words relating to the picture. No more, no less.

So here are your 100 words this week.

The sound of the bathroom door swinging open and slamming against the wall, made Alicia stand up straight, her head snapping sharply towards the door. The sight of the hand held gun made the colour fade from her face as her blood rushed to her feet.

“Stand in that corner and face the wall,” the intruder commanded.

Dressed in nothing but her black thong, she did as shewas told. The metallic tiles were cold under her spread out palms. A hand pushed against her shoulder blades, pushing her breast against the tiles.

“Now, turn your head and look at me.”

I hope you liked what you read. Please take the time to read all the other writers taking part today. It may be the same picture, but I can assure you, we all have very different imaginations. You can find them all here

Until next time, take care

Thursday Tasters - Day Off

Hello everyone, thank so much for stopping by today. I have to say, it has been a little manic at my house over the last week. We are having our bathroom re decorated, and in between all the crashing, banging, doors being left open and freezing, two children off sick, entertaining a toddler confined to one room, the bathroom is nearly finished *happy dance*

Like I said, one manic week lol

Anyway, today is Thursday Taster, where I showcase no more than 400 words of my work. It can be something that has been published, or something I am currently working on. Last week I introduced you to, Di, from my current WIP day off.

This week I will treat you to a little bit more, so picking up from where we left off:

He answered after the first ring. “Di, where are you? We have a meeting in thirty five minutes. You know how I like to over the schedule with you beforehand. Why are.” The sound of his demanding voice added more rage to her already angered state, so she cut him off. A first for her.

“Matt, I’m not coming in today.”

There was silence for a moment. Di began to second guess her actions as guilt seemed to move in and take over the anger.

“What do you mean you’re not coming in today?”

His voice was full of shock. After working with him for over five years, Di knew when he was acting, and when he was being sincere. A lump of regret formed in her throat. She knew she couldn’t go back on her statement. “I’m taking the day off. I’m sick.”

“You don’t sound sick to me.”

He had a point. Her mind went into over drive as she tried to find an excuse. Out of the corner of her eye she saw her sanitary pads on the dressing table.

“I’ve got cramps.”

“You’ve got what?”

“Cramps. You know periods.”

“You’ve never had cramps before.”

Bloody cheek. She had cramps alright, she just dosed herself up to meet his demands. Not anymore. “I always have cramps Matt, I usually dose myself up. This month is far too heavy.”

Now he was just irritating her. “Yes Matt, Heavy, lots of blood.”

“Oh Di really. Did you have to be that graphic? Take the bloody day off. Take two. Don’t come back until you’re all clear.”

I hope you enjoyed this short taster. Don't forget to stop by and see all the other writers taking part today. You can find them all here

That's it for this week. Until next time, take care.

Sexy Snippets - Alana

Hello and welcome back to this weeks #SexySnippets. I have to say I love this new button.
For those of you who are new to #SexySnippets, this is where we share seven sentences  from either a piece of published work, or something from a WIP.

This week I have decided to bring you something from Alana. I hope you enjoy:

Naked, but for her matching white panties, Nick backed her against the wall. He kissed her neck and cupped her breast, relishing the sound of her sharp intake of breath as he teased her nipple between his fingers. Then he kissed his way down to her breast as he helped himself to a mouthful. Alana moaned as his teeth grazed her nipples and his long, hard length pushed against her moist panties. She lifted one leg allowing him to move against her as her breathing became deeper and irregular. The heat of passion made their skin glisten as Alana gripped Nick’s hips and pulled them against her.
They both moaned out as the tip of his shaft pushed into her wetness slightly.

Hello and welcome back to this weeks #Flash Fiction Friday. This is where we are given a picture and we have to write what ever the picture inspires in no more than 100 words.

I found this a little tricky, this week. Only because the picture sparked a vision but There were so many clouds blocking my view. In the end, I just wrote what I could see. I hope you enjoy it.

I walked into the room, hoping to catch him before the show. The room was vacant of people. The chairs all set out in neat long rows and the curtain draw across the stage. It was ironic that the derelict room matched how empty I felt inside. Was it too late? Would he even listen to anything I had to say? So much uncertainty made my palms start to sweat.

I swallowed at the sound of his voice and slowly turned to see if my ears had betrayed me. Matt was really there. Now it is my last chance.
Please feel free to leave comment. I love hearing from you. Don't forget to stop by and see all the other writers taking part today at #FlashFictionFriday

Thursday Tasters - Day Off

Hello and welcome back to Thursday Tasters. this is where we showcase a piece of work from either a published piece, or a Work In progress aka WIP. No more than 400 words.

This week I wanted you to meet Di. She is the heroine in my current WIP Day Off. I have completely fallen in love with her, and I hope you will too.

“Oh for god sake,” Dianne muttered under her breath. In her rush to get out the front door, the wind had blown a gust up her skirt trapping it as she shut the front door. Its entanglement only noticed at the sound of the material ripping as she went to walk away. “This is all I flaming well need.”

Di turned back to face her front door and insert the key into the lock. Her skirt was free but the damage was irreparable. She closed the door behind her and pulled up her sleeve to reveal the dial on her watch. Late was an understatement. Not wanting to waist any more time, Di started to unzip her skirt as she walked down the hallway of her flat, heals thudding against the wooden floor, as she made her way to her bedroom. Her skirt slid down her thighs, revealing her long slender legs and almost tripped her up as she walked far too quickly as the skirt reached her ankle. Di reached out and grabbed the door frame with each hand to save herself from falling arse over tit. She took a moment to take a few long, slow, steady breaths. “What the hell am I gonna wear now?”

Di kicked off her skirt and one of her high heels went flying off with it, straight into her full length mirror. She scrunched her eyes shut at the sound of the glass shattering into a thousand pieces.  Di exhaled deeply and rested her forehead on the doorframe. “For fuck sake!” The frustration bubbled through her veins with an uncontrollable heat.

Screw work, he doesn’t give a shit about you anyway. Di knew this was her irrational side talking. She couldn’t possible take a day off work. Or can I? “Fuck it,” Di said aloud as she walked down the hall to her handbag and grabbed her mobile phone. His number was the last one she had dialled. She noticed that he was the only one in her call list apart from her mother. The frustration was fast becoming anger. More aimed at herself if she was honest. She had let her work consume her life. Not anymore.

Please leave a comment and tell me what you think. And don't forget to stop by an visit all the other writers taking part in this weeks Thursday Tasters

Sexy Snippets - Behind The Makeup

Hello and welcome back to this weeks #SexySnippets. Today I am taking my snippet from Behind The Makeup, so here are my seven sentences:

Beth gave him her best innocent girl look before she pulled the

pins out of her hair, allowing her chocolate locks to cascade down her

"Oh my god, you’re a little minx," he replied before he leapt up

off the sofa and made a grab for her. Beth giggled as she dodged out

of the way of his grasp. As fast as she was, she was no match for

Gareth’s agility. He caught her around the waist and pulled her tight

against his frame. He placed featherlight kisses on her nose, across

her cheek and down her neck, sending shivers of awakening through

her veins.

"I’m going to take my time with you, Beth," Gareth said before he

pulled her down onto the floor.

I hope you enjoyed this snippet. Don't forget to stop by and read all the other #SexySnippets

#FFF = First Time

Hello and welcome to #FlashFictionFriday.  This is were we are given a picture and we have to write 100 to go with it.

This is the picture for this week:

And my 100 words:

“It doesn’t matter what you say to me Tristan, I will not drink from another human!”

Tristan meet her gaze, but he was no fool. He knew she would not drink from a human. In the early days of going through the change, it was common for new vampires to still feel connected to their old world. A single red rose in a vase of flowers caught his eye. Its vivid colour matched her lips perfectly. Without saying a word, he took the rose and filled the petals with donor blood.

“Then let your first taste come from this Rose.”
I hope you enjoyed my interpretation of the picture. Don't forget to stop by #FlashFictionFriday and visit all the other writers taking part today.

Until next time, take care.

Thursday Teasers - Behind The Makeup

Hello and welcome to Thursday Tasters. this is where I get to share some of my work with you. This week I have decided to share something from my latest release, Behind The Makeup.

This scene is taken from the first chapter. To fill you in a bit, the police had been called to a house where a burglary was in place. As they arrived they saw the suspects take off in a red Corsa and chased them at high speed.

The sounds of horns and tires screeching were enough to chill any warm-blooded animal.
Both Smith and Newman had no option but to watch and report back to control, as the red car floored it through the red lights. Cars traveling from the left swerved to avoid the Corsa. Amazingly, the red car made it through the junction without getting hit. None of the other cars had collided with each other. But it wasn’t over. Newman increased his speed to follow the red car once more as he meandered his way through the now stationary cars on the junction.

“He’s lost it,” Newman said as they watched the red car veer left and right as the driver fought to control the car. The driver pulled the car off to the left much too quickly, causing the Corsa to skid sideways across three lanes of traffic, up onto the bank and wrap itself around a tree.

“Control, we have an RTC on North Circular Road Southbound just after A40 junction,” Smith said as he spoke into his radio. He hopped out of the car just before Newman had brought it to a complete stop.

Newman pulled the hand break up with such force, you could hear the gear mechanism grind together and then jumped out of the car to follow Smith.

Smith reached the back of the red car and could hear soft moans from the back passenger side. As he opened the door, a young man was slouched across the back seat, his head was oozing a crimson river and he wasn’t conscious. Smith felt for a pulse, it was faint.

Newman was busy assessing the front passenger so he made his way to the driver.

The front of the red Corsa was crumpled, steam from what he presumed to be the radiator rose into the night sky. Smoke from the air bags joined the steam as they danced their vapour in the street light rays. The driver hung half out of the windscreen, his head at an awkward angle. Smith reached for a pulse, already knowing there wouldn’t be one.

“Control, this is Quebec Delta four nine two. We have one unconscious male with a head injury,” He looked over to Newman for the condition of the front passenger. Newman just shook his head.

“And two fatalities.”

Hope you like enjoyed my tease today.
